About Julia
Born and raised in Evanston, IL, Julia spent a year and a half at Chapman University and a semester abroad in Rome before transferring to New York University. There, she married her love for theatre, film and TV. She now lives in London.
With a lighthearted voice, Julia’s work tackles topics we are trained to avoid. Specific matters of the heart include loneliness and the battle between internal and external acceptance. She uses character-driven comedy and elements of camp as the safeguard.
Julia is half-Japanese and half-Midwestern-melting-pot-white.
