Born and raised in Evanston, IL, Julia spent a year and a half at Chapman University and a semester abroad in Rome before transferring to New York University. There, she married her love for theatre, film and TV. Currently, she lives in London.

Julia’s work tackles topics we avoid with a lighthearted voice. Specific matters of the heart include loneliness and the battle between internal and external acceptance. She uses character-driven comedy and elements of camp as the safeguard.

Julia is half-Japanese and half-Midwestern-melting-pot-white.
